Ribbons and Glue

Summer is waning and Darby and I spend most of our time peering out windows with the spyglass, looking out for signs of fall. Still, it hasn't quite gone yet and the dregs of Summer are wonderful for dreaming of places to go. These medallion tacks are a fancy way of marking them down on the map.

I used this tutorial for the medallion part and then gilded the edges and added a tack.

After you've finished folding, glue down a button in the center of the medallion.

Turn the medallion over and glue a tack to the center. Dab the edges of the medallion with glue and roll it in glitter.

Cut a short length of ribbon and fold it in half so that the two strands are separated into a V. Glue this on below the tack.

Now pin something up!
Note: Be careful when removing the tack, pulling on the paper could rip it.
